Put a Star reminder
inside your README
Star Me generates a lightweight animated SVG for your README. It replays the GitHub ★ Star action so visitors notice it at the right moment.
Use your own GitHub token (optional)
Why use it: higher API limits and access to private repositories.
Safety: token is sent only in request headers, never put into URL, and saved only in this browser (localStorage on this device).
Recommended: use a fine-grained PAT with read-only access to the repository you want to render.

Use the trash icon to remove the saved token from this browser.
How It Works
Star Me fetches live GitHub data like stars, forks, files, and the latest commit so the preview reflects the real repository.
It generates a lightweight SVG that shows the GitHub interface and demonstrates the ★ Star action without using screenshots or video.
Copy the generated Markdown and place it in your README so visitors see the Star prompt while they are already reading about your project.
